Principals will enhance their knowledge of the purposes and processes of working in collaborative learning communities, participate in direct instruction to build operational skills, and engage in evidence-based practices for focused school improvement in the areas of leadership, culturally responsive use of data, and operations. They will use that knowledge to foster and support professional learning communities in their schools to improve instructional practice, to manage a safe and secure school environment, and to apply collaborative problem solving to closing achievement and discipline gaps.
